Try the Playground
Explore local files and generated samples in your browser before integrating the packages.
Open the playground, then drop a file or choose a sample. File reading and sample generation run in your browser.

accTitle: Explore a file in the playground
accDescr: Choose a file or sample, inspect its metadata, select a plot and adjust the display.
Choose[Drop file or choose sample] --> Inspect[Check metadata]
Inspect --> Plot[Choose a view]
Plot --> Adjust[Zoom, style and export]
| File | Try this |
|---|---|
| SEG-Y / SU | Zoom a reflector; compare density and wiggles; inspect headers |
| LAS | Compare curves on linked depth tracks; inspect units and parameters |
| CSV / TSV / delimited text | Check the preview; choose crossplot columns |
| JSON table | Check inferred columns; color points by another value |
Use drag/wheel navigation, then reset to the full range. Seismic controls change clipping, colors, smoothing, gain and taper. Plotted views offer PNG export; metadata and table previews are inspection panels.
Understand Waiting and Limits
Seismic reads use ranges. A full overview still reads its averaged values; variable-length trace indexing and header summaries can require scans.
| Default budget | Applies to |
|---|---|
| 64 MiB per file | LAS and tables |
| 128 MiB per source | Retained numeric columns across open files |
| 32 MiB | Seismic tile cache |
These exclude temporary arrays, text and GPU memory. Close unused files on memory-constrained devices.
Privacy: the reader sends no file contents to a data service. Website assets still load over the network. Reopen files after reloading the page.
To integrate the same reading APIs, follow Open Local Files. Your app supplies the picker and controls.
